Joey's News - Week 9 - Term 3
From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
Student Leadership
This week the Yr 5 students commenced their Student Leadership journey with the Yr 5 Leadership Retreat at the Seville Mercy Centre. The day focussed on students identifying their gifts through the lens of our values of Love, Learning, Community and Respect engaging in different activities during the day. The day concluded with an afternoon tea with parents and families followed by a liturgy.
They now move on to completing their leadership applications prior to giving leadership speeches to the community. Their week has ended on a high with their trip to Green Island for a day of snorkelling which started with a chance meeting with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese while waiting for the ferry.

Next week I will be on Long Service Leave, returning for the start of Week One in Term 4. Marita Brown will be the Acting Principal while I am on leave.
With Christ, we live, love and learn
