Term 3 - Week 10 Principal's Weekly Update
Principal's Weekly Update

Dear Families
JCC Fete
Thank you to everyone who attended the Fete last Friday night. It was an awesome night and I have received lots of feedback about how great it was. A special thanks to the JCC for taking this on, especially Amanda Gonzo - coordinator, and Kelly Bromell for her support in the lead up and on the night and the band of volunteers - parents, supporters and staff who gave up their time on the night to make sure it was a success.
Yr 5 Leadership
On Monday we had our Yr 5 Leadership Retreat at the Seville Mercy Centre, with much of the day focussed on the Catholic notion of leadership ~ Servant Leadership.
“ Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
Students undertook a range of activities, unpacking the different types of leadership and what are the qualities of a good leader. Students were highly engaged and I can say that Student Leadership at St Joseph’s in 2025 looks to be in good hands.
