Principal's Weekly Update
Dear Families
As we draw to a close the school year for 2024, I would like to publicly thank all of the staff who have worked tirelessly and gone above and beyond for the students and families of St Joseph’s. I would like to make special mention of the Leadership Team who have supported me in my first (almost) year.
Assistant Principal Learning & Teaching: Marita Brown

To all of the families leaving the St Joseph’s community, we thank you for everything you and your children have brought to us and we wish you all the best for the future and that wherever your journey takes you, that it is bright and joyful.
Finally, I would like to wish our entire community a Happy and Holy Christmas and may the birth of Jesus Christ shine light upon you. I hope you have a great break that is full of fun and a happy new year.

St. Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal
Thank you for the care and hope you have afforded Cairns families with your donations of goods and cash. This has enabled 240 hampers to be provided to families, some homeless, some struggling to make ends meet, all needing help to survive in Cairns.
At the Oz Harvest special concert shown on TV recently, Bob Geldorf who helped launch the 'Band Aid' concert 40 years ago, said that he never thought he would be at a similar concert in a developed world country like Australia, the 'Lucky Country', where about 3.5 million people are having difficulties making ends meet.
Again, thank you for helping those who need it.
