Splashtastic
Hard work is good for the soul but it is also important to celebrate the achievements of hard work. Today the weather shined on us and we were able to celebrate with our Splashtastic event postponed from our Feast Day ~ the students had an awesome time. I thank Stacey Edmonds for setting this up and Simon North (Maintenance) for his support as well.
Finally, I thank parents, carers and the community for their continued support throughout the term. I wish you all a fun filled and safe holiday and a happy and holy Easter - May the light of the Risen Christ shine upon you.
With Christ, we live, love and learn

News from the JCC
Important Information for Term 2
ThinkUKnow Program
In Week 1 of next term all classes will participate in presentations delivered by representatives from the Australian Federal Police. The ThinkUKnow program focuses on topics such as privacy, inappropriate contact and help seeking behaviours. These topics are linked to the relevant year level within the Australian Curriculum:
- Safety-First Prep- Year 2 sessions include:
- Recognising feelings of being unsafe
- Identifying their Safe People
- Knowing who to contact in an emergency
- We will also discuss the role of police in the community
2. ThinkUKnow Years 3-6 sessions include cyber safety education:
- The importance of adult supervision online
- Recognising the differences between people they know online and in-person
- Identifying indicators of unsafe interactions
- Formulating practical ways to ensure their personal and private information remains safe
- Identify trusted adults and when to seek help.
If you would like to view more information on these topics, please visit the ThinkUKnow website here.
The aim of the ThinkUKnow program is the reduce the incidence of online child sexual exploitation through education, and to encourage help seeking behaviours so no victim feels they are alone.
Your child may have questions following this information session. The ThinkUKnow website has information and advice for Parents and Carers, including resources to learn more about how to help children in your care.

In Term 2, our school will be transitioning to a new student academic reporting solution. Named The Learning Dashboard (TLD), the new system will bring some small changes from look and feel of the current Parent Portal.

Some of the benefits of the new solution include:
- TLD will follow your student across CEDC schools (primary and secondary), enabling you to maintain visibility of academic reports throughout their school years.
- TLD is designed as a web interface rather than a PDF document. This enables an improved viewing experience on all platforms and devices (smart phone, IPad, Laptop).
- The solution also supports the ability to create a PDF copy of the report for your records.
We’ll be providing you with more information next Term regarding when and how you’ll be accessing the new solution.
Mother's Day Photos
This year, Year 1 will be leading our annual Mother's Day assembly, where students eagerly await to see if an image of them and their Mum or female caregiver lights up the PowerPoint presentation. We want to ensure that your child doesn't miss out on this special moment! 😊
Please submit a photo of your child/ren with their Mum or female caregiver to the office by Friday, 2 May. Creating this presentation takes time, so we kindly ask for your cooperation.
Do: Email 1 x landscape photo or 1 x landscape collage (no more than 3-4 photos in the collage) to secretary.parramatta@cns.catholic.edu.au
By: Fri, 2 May
Ask: If you have questions, contact Stace at the school office at 4038 5100
*Please note that there will be no awards handed out at this assembly.
