Joey's News - Week 4 - Term 2
From the Principal
Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
This week I had the opportunity to join the Yr 6s on camp at Camp Patterson. We had a great time with loads of amazing activities, and I thank all the staff who attended – Jacqui Doolan, Steph Skimming, Taryn Greenwood and Jaime Bakker.
The camp and activities provided lots of opportunities for learning and personal growth. We can quite often neglect or forget about the learning opportunities outside of the classroom with a mindset that learning can only come from a book or a device. Experiences like camps can bring out the best in people, it is through being taken out of our comfort zone and being challenged where real growth and learning takes place.
The over the coming weeks I’m sure there will be plenty of new learning transferred into the Habitat through the sharing of stories, experiences and photos. It has been a rich learning encounter.

Year 6 Camp
Toys and Items from Home
We have seen an increase in toys and other items from home coming to school with students. This is causing problems in the playground before school and during lunch breaks. No student should be bringing toys or items unless prior organised with habitat teachers.
We thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Prep - Year 2 MultiLit Parent Information Night
If you were unable to attend the Parent Information Night for MultiLit, or would like a refresher of the information discussed, we have made a recording available for all parents.
