From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,

As we head into winter, we start to see the usual spike in illnesses.  Schools can be a breeding ground for any virus in the community due to large numbers of people in close proximity to each other.  Staff constantly stress the importance of hygiene to all students (washing hands/coughing or sneezing practice), as well as the importance of staying healthy and what that looks like.

The health of our students, your children, is important to us – individually and collectively.  Remaining healthy requires a lot of work – diet, sleep, exercise, rest – regardless of age.  I encourage families to be especially mindful of these during the months where the incidence of illness rises.  We all have a duty of care to our community when we are unwell that we stay away until well enough to return.  This holds true for all of our children.  I ask that parents consider carefully their decisions to send to school or stay home when their children say that they are sick, because while we don’t want students missing out of valuable learning, we don’t to risk making other people sick.

With Christ, we live, love and learn

James Roberts

Principal
