Joey's News - Week 8 - Term 2
From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
Student Engagement - Behaviour
As Semester One draws to a conclusion it is valuable to reflect on performance in “real time”. Last week I discussed attendance where we have seen significant improvement looking back over the past 3 years with approximately a 10% improvement.
Our teachers do an incredible job with creating a safe, predictable and consistent environment which we know is critical to successful learning. Key indicators with how we going in this area is the tracking of behaviours that teachers report. Again, teachers do an incredible job in tracking inappropriate behaviour, along with parents, carers and families who are also extremely supportive in delivering a consistent message of what is and isn’t appropriate behaviour.
Over the past 12 months we have also seen some great improvements with Major Behaviours down 10% and Minor Behaviours down 30%. Most importantly, I congratulate all students on their focus and listening and following our expectations of Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Ready to Learn.
With Christ, we live, love and learn
James Roberts
Principal
