Joey's News - Week 8 - Term 3
From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
Being a Dad
Traditionally, fathers were seen primarily as providers, but over the last couple of generations this perception and reality has changed. Modern fathers are now recognised for their role modelling and the positive influence they have on their children. And while sadly not all children may have a father or father figure in their life, it is widely recognised that there is a need for positive male role models and father figures in the lives of all children, whether that is a grandfather, uncle, older cousin or family friend. In a world where we hear and see so many negative stories and messages, it is important that we influence the narrative with positive stories and messages. Fathers nurturing roles and their ability to contribute to their children's emotional and social development are critical for our children and young people now and in the future. This shift acknowledges that fathers are caregivers and teachers in their children's lives, complementing the roles of mothers.
With Christ, we live, love and learn
