Joey's News - Week 10 - Term 3
From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
As you settle into a slower pace of life that comes with school holidays, I hope that you are enjoying some family time.
Staff are getting ready for the Prep Transition Program which commences on Wednesday 8th October with the Prep Welcome BBQ at 5pm. Prep enrolments for 2026 are almost full, if you know anyone who has not enrolled their Prep child yet, please encourage them to do so as a priority, so their child can be included in the Transition Program.
We are still taking enrolments across most grades, with limited space in the Yr 4-6 grades. People considering enrolling for 2026 should attend to this now.
With Christ, we live, love and learn

Reef Guardian School - Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award
St Joseph's is proud to be a Reef Guardian School – where our students take meaningful action that directly support Reef protection and resilience. 🪸
And now, we’re joining the Reef Authority in support of the Lifetime of Greatness campaign – alongside the hundreds of thousands of students, teachers and families also part of the Reef Guardian School program – to back the Reef’s nomination for the United Nations Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award.🎖️
The campaign is part of the Lifetime of Greatness Project, developed by Tourism Tropical North Queensland in collaboration with the Reef Authority, Reef Guardian Councils, Traditional Owners, Master Reef Guides, and the tourism industry. Already, it has reached over five billion people and attracted more than 1.3 million supporters worldwide! 😮
If successful, the Reef would become the first living entity (and non-human!) recipient of the highest environmental honour awarded by the United Nations Environment Programme – this would be history made! 🥳
Join us in backing a lifetime of greatness: https://alifetimeofgreatness.com/#supporter
Thank you for your support on this important action!
