Joey's News - Week 2 - Term 4
From the Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
While the month of May is dedicated to the devotion of Mary the mother of Jesus. October is dedicated to the Rosary and coincides with the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (October 7) with the entire month given to Marian devotion.
Here at St Joseph’s, we have a strong tradition with highlighting the Rosary with our students from the teaching of the Mysteries of the Rosary. There are twenty Mysteries in total, broken into four lots of five – Joyful Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries, Glorious Mysteries and the Luminous Mysteries. Many students have bought a set of Rosary beads that they can keep and pray with at home.
Formal prayer such as The Rosary can be a powerful when prayed together as a community. Today, at assembly we prayed the Rosary together, in a symbol of unity and hope.
I have multiple sets of Rosary Beads, all with their own unique story and history. Simply holding onto them reminds me of my Catholic faith journey from childhood to now and how God’s grace is never too far away when you take the opportunity to talk and pray to God.
With Christ, we live, love and learn
